Marriage Is My Worst Nightmare

I’m 23 years old and I am terrified of getting married. It’s a case of cognitive dissonance at times with all of the societal and cultural messages and conditioning directed at women, telling us to aspire to marriage and family above all else.

Growing up I just assumed that I would get married and have children. It didn’t seem abhorrent to me…
